I’d be sad about David Beckham retiring except A) I rarely watch soccer (or football, if you’re outside the U.S.) except during the World Cup and B) I’m 100% sure we’ll still get to see him in ads and photo shoots like this one. And let’s face it, in my world, that’s what matters.

I have an unreasonable attachment to Adam McQuaid, and now that hockey’s back (or on its way), expect to see a lot more of him on the site, even if he’s not healthy when the short season starts. Like that would stop me from posting. Please.

I am taping my assessment video for my BodyAttack certification tomorrow, and I’ve been a little on the anxious side. OK FINE I’VE BEEN FREAKING OUT.
In any of my other tough workouts (mainly boxing), when I’m about to drop, I imagine I’m in a hockey fight and resolve not to go down first. Works every time.
This whole Body Attack thing has been more of a mental struggle for me than a physical one, but I’m getting ready to own it, McQuaid-style. (Well, McQuaid-style plus squat jumps, cheerleader arms and a smile!)
Whatever’s challenging you in your life right now, I hope you kick its ass and look good doing it. Bonus points if the foot you’re kicking with is wearing stilettos!

I really could care less how many people are now following her on Twitter, or that LeBron James is following her now, or that Darnell Dockett asked her to Wingstop over Twitter. Which celebrities are following which other (sort of) celebrities (or their significant others) really isn’t newsworthy.
On the other hand, video of A.J. McCarron’s reaction to the celebrities now following his girlfriend? Totally entertaining. And awkward. I mean, dude’s visibly squirming.
Or as Deadspin puts it: “That’s a very specific kind of panic that flashes across McCarron’s face, the kind that can only be brought on by learning that your girlfriend, who is indeed a very pretty lady, is now a very famous pretty lady. McCarron keeps his composure as best he can, but he looks as if he’s about to start yelling about how everyone needs to back up and stop eyeballing him like that because he’s about to sock someone”
But really, what does he expect?

This is clearly not my business, but man, that was fast. The Vikings QB and ESPN reporter tied the knot after about three months of dating and a two-week engagement.
When you know, you know?
Posters for the website Total Frat Move are speculating that they fast-tracked the courthouse wedding because A) Steele’s preggers or B) she wouldn’t sleep with him unless they were married.
Or, you know, maybe they just recognized that they make each other happy and didn’t feel like conforming to some socially acceptable timeline to make it official.
I mean, isn’t that really the only reason you should need?
(And for the record, if they are expecting, their kid is more than likely going to be unfairly adorable.)

Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Connecticut affected by today’s heinous crimes, but I can’t spend the rest of my day watching and reading news coverage of the tragedy. I just can’t.
